Parallels - (BFA Exhibition)

As a photographer and dog owner, I am interested in building connections between photography and dogs. I created this series "Parallels" with the intention of interpreting the world from a dog's perspective:

How do they see? What do they see? What is their reality?

I chose to take all black and white photos to suggest the visual spectrum of a dog's eye. I was also drawn to the elusive and interpretive nature of black and white photography that exposes the soul of the subject rather than the subject itself.
